Danielle Eady

Programs Director

Danielle Eady joined the Oak Spring Garden Foundation team in 2019 to develop the foundation’s then-nascent residency and fellowship initiatives, and has served as the Programs Director since 2022.

Originally from Austin, Texas, Danielle holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as dual Master’s degrees in Modern and Contemporary Art History and Arts Administration and Policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her multidisciplinary academic background deeply instilled in her a belief in the transformative power of cross-disciplinary inspiration—a philosophy that anchors her both personally and professionally.

In her current role, Danielle drives the strategic vision, equity, and long-term planning of all programmatic initiatives at Oak Spring. She oversees the foundation’s expanding portfolio of residencies, fellowships, sabbaticals, short courses, workshops, and special events. Danielle is responsible for establishing programmatic policies, leading candidate selection committees, and cultivating vital partnerships with local and national organizations to extend the foundation's reach and impact. From time to time, she also develops digital strategies and liaises with both on-site and off-site exhibitions. She works closely with executive leadership to safely expand Oak Spring's programming boundaries, utilizing models that honor the estate’s history, archives, and landscape.

Outside of her professional work, Danielle is an avid walker, moderate jogger, and sometimes doodler. She spends most of her free time with her senior dog, Paisley, and her favorite plant right now is wild bergamot.
