This program will be hosted at Long Branch Farm in Boyce, VA, not at the Oak Spring Garden Foundation. The venue address and map are available on the Eventbrite ticketing page.
Overview: Mrs. Rachel “Bunny” Mellon lived in Clarke and Fauquier County during all of her adult life where the countryside inspired her. Join us at Long Branch for a reception to see a varied collection of Bunny Mellon’s fabrics, vintage D. Porthault luxury linens along with Givenchy and Balenciaga dresses and designs. Since the last Long Branch owner was Harry Z. Isaacs, a Baltimore textile executive, the Oak Spring Garden Foundation can think of no better place to display Bunny Mellon’s collection of textiles. Along with these textiles, come meet artists and view their work from plein air painting on the estate of Bunny Mellon drawing inspiration from her designed landscape.
We hope you will stop by to enjoy a glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres and view these beautiful textiles and artworks.
This exhibition will be on view through Sunday, September 24th, 2023.
