Join the Oak Spring Garden Foundation’s Biodiversity Conservation Team for a half-day workshop to learn how to plan and implement your own wildlife garden. The morning will consist of classroom instruction followed by a visit to the Rokeby wildlife garden to observe and discuss a developing garden. Topics that will be covered include: the fundamental components of a wildlife garden, design basics, strategies for supporting and encouraging different groups of species, overviews of various establishment and maintenance techniques, and where to find local resources to help you get started. Our hope is that this workshop will inspire and prepare you to start a wildlife garden of your own, no matter the size.
