Tomatoes are a summer staple! The BCCF loves to grow tomatoes that have diverse colors, textures, flavors and stories. We aim to grow varieties for both eating raw in salads and stewing into sauces, soups and curries. We suggest tasting all our tomatoes fresh before cooking to fully appreciate their unique flavors.

In our seed saving plot within the Walled Garden, we grow 5 tomato varieties for seed: Ethyl Orange, Inez Yellow, Mamie’s Perfect Purple, Purple Potato Leaf and Vona Stripe. These seeds may also be purchased in our gift shop and occasionally online.
