To Inspire & Educate
"She gave freedom for those that followed her, and all she asked is that we use their house, garden and library to inspire and educate, particularly around plants."
– From The Washington Post Magazine article, "The Path to Paradise: Reviving the (very) private garden of Bunny Mellon."
Oak Spring is a place for growth. By offering the resources on our site and by collaborating with other organizations, we hope to create meaningful and helpful experiences for tomorrow's leaders in the world of plants, gardens, and landscapes. One of the major ways we support future leaders is through our Fellowship and Residency Programs, which we offer to artists, researchers, and writers whose work is influenced by the natural world and humankind's place in it.
In 2020 we will be offering a broader array of opportunities than ever before. Explore below to see news about our Fellowships and Residency Programs, as well as our other activities. We are actively seeking applications for all of these programs, so now is the time to learn about – and share with others – what we have to offer!
