Varieties of winter squash and pumpkins are beautifully diverse in color, shape and flavor. They are a sure sign of fall and offer warm sweet and savory flavors. Try baking a Cheese pumpkin pie or stewing a Kabocha squash curry. Winter squash are versatile, yet sweet and hearty. Winter squash should be roasted, steamed or boiled before being consumed, and we suggest peeling the outer skin off after cooking, except in the case of Delicata squash, which has edible skin.
