Head of Security
Sam Liscomb is OSGF’s security manager. He joined Oak Spring in January 2010.
Sam is a retired United States Air Force veteran from Luray, VA. During his distinguished military career, Sam was a Weapons Systems Security Specialist, primarily working on Special Duty Assignment at Andrews Air Force Base (AAFB) in Maryland, where he was selected for special duty within the Presidential Security Program. While at AAFB, his duties included protecting Air Force One, the Maintenance and Support Complex, as well as the domestic and foreign leaders who traveled through AAFB. He has also traveled on Special Mission Aircraft Security flights with officials traveling abroad, and served in hostile conditions in Iraq and other countries at war.
Sam’s duties and responsibilities at OSGF are to ensure the safety and security of all personnel, infrastructure, resources, facilities and any other special events and functions hosted by OSFG. In his free time, he manages woodland areas and pastures on his small family farm, where he also enjoys spending time in the vegetable garden. He also likes to canoe and boat on the Shenandoah river, hunt, and fish.
